Pinkishe Foundation recently conducted an enlightening menstrual hygiene literacy session and pads distribution drive in Greater Noida, led by the dedicated Anita Yadav. This initiative aimed to educate young girls about menstrual health, addressing common misconceptions and providing essential hygiene products.
The session saw a high level of engagement, with young girls keen to learn about menstruation. A particularly eye-opening moment came when Anita Yadav explained the three openings of the uterus, leaving the girls astonished. Many had believed there were only two openings and expressed that they had no one to educate them on such topics.
This session underscored the fact that menstruation remains a largely uncovered subject, with even mothers often hesitant to discuss it with their children. The importance of open, accurate information was emphasized to ensure girls can manage their menstrual health confidently and correctly.
In addition to the informative discussions, sanitary pads were distributed to all participants, ensuring they have the necessary resources to manage their periods safely and comfortably.
