Menstrual Health Education Camp Brings Change in Chatiniyabagi, Jharkhand

On February 7, 2025, Pinkishe Foundation and Jeevan Jyoti Jan Kalyan Kendra collaborated to organize a Menstrual Health & Hygiene Education Camp and Free Sanitary Pad Distribution at Chatiniyabagi, Gomia, Bokaro, Jharkhand. This initiative aimed to educate women and girls on menstrual health practices and ensure access to essential hygiene products.

Knowledge for Health: Promoting Menstrual Hygiene Literacy

The session covered essential topics related to menstrual health, including understanding the menstrual cycle, maintaining hygiene during periods, and using safe menstrual products. Educators emphasized breaking taboos and empowering participants with practical knowledge to manage their health confidently.

Bridging the Gap: Free Sanitary Pad Distribution

The event also included the free distribution of sanitary pads to address the issue of limited access to menstrual hygiene products. By providing essential resources, the camp aimed to support young girls and women in maintaining better menstrual health, thereby reducing health risks associated with inadequate menstrual care.

Encouraging Open Dialogue: Building Healthier Communities

Creating a safe space for conversations around menstruation was a key objective of the camp. By encouraging open dialogue, the initiative helped reduce stigma and allowed participants to discuss their health needs without hesitation.
