Empowering Rural Communities through Menstrual Hygiene Education

On February 2, 2025, Pinkishe Foundation, in collaboration with Students for Seva and Aatma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, organized a Menstrual Health & Hygiene Education Session and Free Sanitary Pad Distribution at Kirby Place Basti, Delhi Cantonment. The initiative focused on educating rural women and girls about menstrual hygiene and providing them with essential sanitary products.

Promoting Menstrual Hygiene: Building Knowledge and Confidence

The session aimed to dispel myths and misconceptions related to menstruation while educating participants on the importance of menstrual hygiene management. Experienced educators discussed topics like the menstrual cycle, hygiene practices, and safe menstrual products, encouraging open dialogue to break social taboos.

Access to Essentials: Free Sanitary Pad Distribution

One of the significant aspects of the event was the distribution of free sanitary pads, addressing the lack of access to menstrual hygiene products in rural areas. By providing necessary resources, the camp aimed to support better menstrual health practices and reduce health risks.

Creating Positive Change: Community Engagement and Support

The event fostered a community-driven approach, where participants actively engaged in discussions, shared their concerns, and learned practical tips for managing menstruation. By fostering awareness and accessibility, Pinkishe Foundation aims to empower rural women to take charge of their menstrual health.

Partnering for Impact: Collaboration with Local Organizations

The collaboration with Students for Seva and Aatma Ram Sanatan Dharma College highlights the power of community involvement in promoting menstrual health awareness. Through such partnerships, Pinkishe Foundation strives to create a lasting impact in rural communities.
