Empowering Women: A Comprehensive Approach to Menstrual Health Education

On April 7, 2025, Pinkishe Foundation partnered with Pragathi Welfare Society to host a Menstrual Health & Hygiene Education Camp, followed by a Free Sanitary Pad Distribution initiative. This impactful session aimed to increase awareness of menstrual health, break taboos, and promote better hygiene practices among young girls and women in the community.

Knowledge is Power: A Deep Dive into Menstrual Health and Hygiene

The session, led by knowledgeable experts, focused on educating participants about the menstrual cycle, personal hygiene, and how to manage menstruation effectively. The team emphasized the importance of self-care, addressing misconceptions, and providing practical advice on maintaining menstrual health in a hygienic and dignified manner. The event aimed to leave the community empowered with the right knowledge and resources.

A Step Towards Healthier Futures: Free Sanitary Pads Distributed to All

In addition to the educational session, free sanitary pads were distributed to ensure every participant had access to the necessary hygiene products. This initiative, in collaboration with Pragathi Welfare Society, was designed to eliminate the barriers posed by a lack of access to menstrual products and promote overall health and dignity.

Shifting Perspectives: Breaking Stigma and Promoting Open Conversations

The event’s goal was to tackle the stigma surrounding menstruation, creating a safe space for women and girls to talk about their menstrual health openly. By normalizing the conversation around periods, we encourage informed discussions and better menstrual practices, paving the way for a more open and supportive community.

Pinkishe Foundation’s Commitment: Bridging Gaps in Menstrual Health Education

This event reflects Pinkishe Foundation’s unwavering commitment to spreading menstrual health education and providing vital resources to underprivileged communities. Through initiatives like this one, we strive to build a future where menstruation is no longer a taboo and every girl and woman can confidently manage her menstrual health.
