Educating the Youth: Menstrual Health Literacy in Kolkata

On February 15, 2025, Pinkishe Foundation organized a Menstrual Health & Hygiene Education Session and Free Sanitary Pad Distribution at Deshpran Birendra Nath Institution, Kolkata, West Bengal. The session was led by our dedicated volunteer menstrual educator, Swapna Ghosh, who passionately shared insights on menstrual hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining menstrual well-being.

Menstrual Hygiene Literacy: Empowering Students with Knowledge

The session aimed to address menstrual health challenges, dispel myths, and provide practical guidance on safe menstrual practices. Swpana Ghosh engaged students in discussions about the menstrual cycle, personal hygiene, and the importance of using safe and hygienic menstrual products.

Supporting Girls' Health: Free Sanitary Pad Distribution

To support the menstrual health needs of students, the event also featured a free sanitary pad distribution. This initiative reflects Pinkishe Foundation’s mission to improve menstrual hygiene access in educational institutions and foster a more informed and healthy community.

Creating Safe Spaces for Open Conversations

By encouraging open dialogue and addressing concerns related to menstruation, the session fostered a sense of community support and encouraged students to prioritize menstrual health and hygiene.
