Raising Awareness: Menstrual Health Education and Hygiene Awareness Camp

On April 5, 2025, Pinkishe Foundation, in collaboration with Ek Kiran Welfare Foundation, organized a Menstrual Health & Hygiene Education Camp at Upper Primary School, Dara Pur in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. This impactful event aimed to provide young girls with essential knowledge on menstrual health, hygiene practices, and the importance of using sanitary products for maintaining health and dignity.

Expert-Led Session: Promoting Healthy Practices and Debunking Myths

The session was led by experienced health educators who guided the students through a comprehensive discussion on the menstrual cycle, proper hygiene, and period management. The educators took an interactive approach to bust common myths surrounding menstruation, ensuring that the students received accurate, reliable information. The goal was to empower the girls with the confidence to handle their menstrual health in a safe and informed manner.

Access to Hygiene: Free Sanitary Pad Distribution for Every Student

In line with our mission to improve menstrual health access, the event included the distribution of free sanitary pads to all participating students. This gesture aimed to ensure that every girl had the necessary resources to manage their periods hygienically and with ease. By distributing sanitary pads, Pinkishe Foundation and Ek Kiran Welfare Foundation made sure that no girl had to face barriers due to lack of access to menstrual products.

The Importance of Menstrual Health Education for Young Girls

Menstrual health education is crucial in ensuring that young girls are equipped with the knowledge to manage their periods safely and with confidence. It also plays an essential role in breaking down the stigma surrounding menstruation, helping to normalize the conversation and create a supportive environment. By providing accurate information and access to hygiene products, we are helping girls make informed choices, manage their health better, and ultimately lead healthier, more empowered lives.

Pinkishe Foundation's Commitment to Menstrual Health & Hygiene Education

This event is a part of Pinkishe Foundation’s ongoing efforts to spread awareness and educate young girls about menstrual health. Through workshops, camps, and partnerships with like-minded organizations like Ek Kiran Welfare Foundation, we continue to work towards reducing stigma and promoting menstrual health education across India.
