Pinkishe Foundation, in collaboration with the Women's Development Cell of Satyawati College, recently conducted a menstrual hygiene literacy session and pads distribution drive. This initiative was designed to educate women about menstrual health and introduce them to various menstrual hygiene products.
During the session, it became evident that many women were only familiar with using cloth during their periods. The introduction of simpler and more effective menstrual aids, such as sanitary pads, was a revelation for them. They were fascinated to learn about these products, which offer better protection against leakage and reduce the risk of infections.
The session included comprehensive information on the different types of menstrual aids available, how to use them, and the importance of maintaining hygiene during menstruation. This educational drive not only provided valuable knowledge but also aimed to dispel any fears and misconceptions surrounding menstrual products.
To ensure the women could immediately benefit from the session, sanitary pads were distributed to all attendees. This gesture helped equip them with the necessary resources to manage their menstrual health safely and comfortably.
