Pinkishe Foundation is committed to empowering women and promoting menstrual hygiene awareness in communities across India. Recently, in collaboration with Baijanti Sinha, we organized a menstrual hygiene literacy session and pad distribution drive in Kalyanpuri, East Delhi.
During the session, participants engaged in an enlightening discussion on the importance of maintaining proper sanitation during menstruation. One particularly notable moment was when a woman bravely shared her perspective, emphasizing the critical need to change sanitary pads every six hours to safeguard against potential health risks. This insight sparked further dialogue and raised awareness about the importance of hygiene practices during menstruation.
Our goal was not only to educate but also to empower women with knowledge and resources to manage their periods safely and with dignity. Through interactive presentations and open discussions, we addressed common misconceptions and provided practical guidance on menstrual hygiene practices.
In our endeavor to uphold menstrual hygiene for everyone, we distributed sanitary pads to all attendees. This effort not only granted access to crucial menstrual products but also encouraged women to prioritize their health and overall well-being.
