In a recent menstrual hygiene literacy session and reusable pads distribution drive organized by Pinkishe Foundation in Gurgaon, Aditi Gupta led an enlightening initiative aimed at addressing prevalent menstrual health challenges. The session welcomed numerous mothers, many of whom still relied on unhygienic cloth as their primary menstrual aid. This practice not only posed health risks but often resulted in leakage and discomfort.
Upon introduction to reusable cloth pads, the attendees exhibited genuine enthusiasm, recognizing the promise of six hours of leak-proof protection and enhanced safety. Additionally, the session shed light on menstrual cups, offering an innovative solution capable of holding blood for 8-10 hours while mitigating the risk of rashes and discomfort associated with traditional methods.
The engagement and receptiveness of the attendees underscored the pressing need for comprehensive menstrual health education and access to sustainable menstrual products. By embracing these modern alternatives, the women expressed a newfound sense of empowerment and confidence in managing their menstrual health effectively.
