Pinkishe Foundation successfully conducted a menstrual hygiene literacy session and pads distribution drive. The event, headed by Upasana Tulera, aimed to prepare young students for menstruation by providing crucial information and resources.
Recognizing that the students were at an age where they could begin their periods at any time, Pinkishe Foundation took proactive steps to ensure they were well-informed. Upasana engaged the students in an interactive session, covering essential topics such as the menstrual cycle, hygiene practices, and the use of sanitary products.
The initiative emphasized the importance of imparting knowledge at the right age, empowering the students to manage their periods with confidence and maintain proper hygiene. Along with valuable education, sanitary pads were distributed to ensure that every girl has access to the necessary resources. Students were introduced to all the menstrual aids that can be used during menstruation like sanitary pads, cloth pads, menstrual cups and tampons, so that they have all the options and can choose the best suitable to them.
Pinkishe Foundation is committed to promoting menstrual health and hygiene, ensuring that young girls are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need. After the session, all the girls were gifted their first sanitary pad.
