On September 5th at 12 PM, the Women Action Group Chelsea NGO, in partnership with Pinkishe Foundation, will host a vital Menstrual Health and Hygiene Literacy Session at Jama Masjid. This event, led by Baijanti Sinha, a menstrual educator from Pinkishe Foundation, aims to educate and support 50 women and girls with essential menstrual health information and free sanitary pad distribution.
In a continued effort to break menstrual taboos and foster confidence among women, Pinkishe Foundation conducted a dedicated menstrual health and hygiene education session aimed at empowering participants through knowledge, open dialogue, and access to hygiene essentials.
Held at Delhi, the session welcomed women of all ages and backgrounds. Guided by Pinkishe’s trained menstrual educators, the workshop focused on helping women better understand their menstrual cycle, busting common myths, and promoting hygienic practices in a safe and stigma-free environment.
The session was interactive and warm—encouraging open conversations around periods, something many attendees had never experienced before. Visual demonstrations and relatable storytelling helped participants connect deeply with the subject. Topics like menstrual tracking, sustainable menstrual products, and body literacy were covered in a simplified yet informative manner.
At the end of the workshop, each participant received a free menstrual hygiene kit, reinforcing our belief that access and awareness must go hand in hand. For many women, this kit was more than just a product—it was a symbol of care, dignity, and inclusion.
“I had never been told these things in such a respectful and clear way. I feel stronger and more confident now,” shared one of the participants.
This event reflected Pinkishe Foundation’s unwavering commitment to menstrual equity, community engagement, and women’s empowerment. By creating safe, informed spaces, we are working towards a world where periods are no longer hidden, feared, or stigmatized—but understood and embraced with dignity.
The Menstrual Health and Hygiene Literacy Session at Women Action Group Chelsea NGO, in partnership with Pinkishe Foundation and led by Baijanti Sinha, is a crucial initiative focused on practical education and sustainable support. By offering comprehensive menstrual health education and distributing essential resources, the event aims to empower women and girls, strengthen community connections, and advance advocacy for menstrual health and well-being.
