Pinkishe collaborates with CRPF in Chhattisgarh

Nov, 2023

In November 2023, Pinkishe Foundation achieved a significant milestone by collaborating with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to conduct menstrual health and hygiene training in the Naxalite-affected areas of Chhattisgarh. This collaboration underscores our commitment to reaching the most vulnerable and underserved communities, promoting menstrual health, and breaking the stigma around menstruation.

Empowering Women in Naxalite Areas

The Naxalite-affected areas in Chhattisgarh are known for their socio-political challenges and dangerous environments. Despite these risks, Ms. Shalini Gupta, General Secretary of Pinkishe Foundation, personally visited the region to lead the initiative. Her visit highlighted our dedication to empowering women in even the most challenging circumstances, ensuring they have access to vital health education and resources.

Menstrual Health and Hygiene Training

During the visit, Pinkishe Foundation conducted comprehensive menstrual health and hygiene training sessions. These sessions aimed to educate women and girls about menstrual health, proper hygiene practices, and the use of sustainable menstrual products. The training provided essential knowledge to help them manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence.

Collaboration with CRPF

Our collaboration with the CRPF was instrumental in ensuring the safety and success of this initiative. The CRPF provided logistical support and security, enabling us to reach communities that are often inaccessible due to security concerns. This partnership exemplifies the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing critical social issues in conflict-affected regions.

Breaking the Stigma

One of the key objectives of this initiative was to break the stigma surrounding menstruation in these communities. By openly discussing menstrual health and providing education, we aimed to foster a more supportive and understanding environment for women and girls. This is crucial in empowering them to seek the care and resources they need.

Impact and Future Goals

The impact of this initiative extends beyond immediate education and resource distribution. By empowering women with knowledge and sustainable menstrual products, we contribute to their overall well-being and social empowerment. This initiative also sets the stage for future collaborations and efforts to reach other underserved areas with similar health and education programs.

Commitment to Sustainable Development

This milestone reflects Pinkishe Foundation’s ongoing commitment to sustainable development and gender equality. By addressing menstrual health in challenging environments, we contribute to broader goals of health, education, and empowerment. We remain dedicated to creating a just and equitable society where every woman and girl can thrive.
