Project Aasha Completes a Significant Chapter of Community Impact

February 2026

Expanding Menstrual Health Support Across Communities

Pinkishe Foundation successfully concluded Project Aasha in February 2026, marking another important milestone in advancing menstrual health awareness and sustainable hygiene access across underserved communities in Delhi NCR and Telangana. Implemented ahead of schedule, the initiative reflected a focused effort toward creating informed, healthier, and more empowered communities through grassroots engagement and practical support.

Through structured awareness sessions and community outreach activities, the project directly reached 2,324 women and girls, while an estimated 11,620 individuals were engaged at the household and community level. Participants received menstrual health education alongside reusable cloth pads designed to encourage safe, affordable, and sustainable menstrual management practices.

Encouraging Awareness Through Community Engagement

Project Aasha focused on creating safe spaces for open conversations around menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and long-standing social taboos that continue to affect women and girls across communities. By combining awareness-driven interventions with practical menstrual support, the initiative encouraged informed decision-making and improved menstrual well-being beyond a one-time engagement.

The project also highlighted the importance of integrating sustainable menstrual solutions within community-based health initiatives, ensuring continued accessibility and long-term impact for beneficiaries.

Strengthening Grassroots Impact Through Collaboration

The successful implementation of Project Aasha was made possible through the collective efforts of field teams, community mobilisers, local stakeholders, and implementation partners who worked closely to ensure effective outreach and meaningful engagement across locations.

Following the project’s conclusion, appreciation was received for the transparency of implementation, measurable outcomes, and structured community engagement achieved through the initiative. Discussions are currently underway regarding opportunities for continued collaboration and future expansion in the upcoming financial year.

Reinforcing Our Commitment to Menstrual Well-Being

The conclusion of Project Aasha reflects Pinkishe Foundation’s continued commitment to advancing menstrual health awareness, promoting dignity, and improving access to sustainable hygiene resources for women and girls.

As we continue expanding our efforts across regions, this milestone further strengthens our resolve to create inclusive, informed, and empowered communities through impactful grassroots initiatives and long-term social change.
