About the Event

NAARI 2019 is an attempt to create a mega stage for the women through an event which marks the commencement of their Annual Rhapsody. It can be seen as a 'Kumbh' dedicated to women where they connect, engage, support and draw their energies from each other. On the first of a kind stage of NAARI, women break the barrier of socio-economic brackets and break open to experience sisterhood in the real sense of the word. Commoners, distinguished, literati, business icons, aspirational women & celebrities all get together to spread empowering smiles and energies.Through NAARI 2019, Pinkishe Foundation also aims to raise funds for its program PADBANK. The money that is raised will be directed towards creating awareness on Menstrual Hygiene and distributing free sanitary pads to girls in slums and rural areas.NAARI 2019 is about the strength and dignity of each and every girl and women!

Meet the inspiring artists of NAARI 2019, whose talents illuminated our mission for menstrual health and women's empowerment across India.

Satbir Chadha
Satbir Chadha is the author of the highly acclaimed book ‘For God Loves Foolish People’, a memoir, for which she has been awarded the Reuel International Prize for Literature. She has many other honours to her name.
Asmita Theatre Group
ASMITA THEATRE one of the leading Hindi theatre groups in the country that stands committed to aesthetically innovative and socially relevant theatre. It excels in staging plays of varied socio-political interests.
Lily Swarn
Former Lecturer of English and Spoken English, Lily Swarn is a gold medallist and a double university color holder from Panjab University Chandigarh’. She has authored three books besides many other credits.
Dr. Santosh Bakaya
Winner of the Reuel International Award [2014] for her long poem Oh Hark! Dr. Santosh Bakaya is an academician - essayist-poet-reviewer -novelist-editor and TedX Speaker, who has received critical acclaims.
Rajab Ali Khan Group
Rajab Ali Group is internationally celebrated group of singers known for Sufi, Qawali, Rajasthani and Bollywood singing. They have graced several TV programs like India Got Talent etc.
Kiren Babel
Kiren Babel A Graduate in Psychology (hons), Kiren Babel has a flair for writing both in English and Hindi. She has dabbled many a shades with creativity. Be it doing plays in AIR, teaching in schools, theatre, writing scripts etc.
Neerja Dheerendra Apte
Neerja is Well-known for her excellent anchoring and command over Hindi, Marathi, Urdu & English languages. She has won applauds for her anchoring skills. She is the winner of Best Actress National award for 3 times.
Nirmala Singh
Nirmala Singh is MA Eng lit, Senior diploma in textile designing, cosmetology, pranik healing and is a self-taught artist-poet. She has done 21 solo shows. Each artwork accompanied by a poem.
Rani Khanam - Aamad Group
Through her dance Rani Khanam displays a breathtaking technique in dance and abhinaya. A cultural visionary, she is one of the most sensitive representatives of the Lucknow Gharana of Kathak dance.
Meri Zindagi - Female Band
Adored & first all female band with the mission "save the girl child". They raise social issues with their music. They love to use kitchen products in their band like Chimta, imamjasta, spoons and many others.
Gandharva Dhol Tasha Pathak
A contingent of 35 Girls and boys of the famous Gandharva Dhol Tasha Pathak group, Vadodara will announce the power of women while reverberating the arena with their powerful spectacle.
Shovana Narayan
One of India’s most celebrated and outstanding Kathak Maestro of the present age; well-known both as a choreographer and performer, Padam Shri Shovana Narayan ji is the disciple of none other than Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji.
ShowSha Baaz Caravan VOW
Directed by Karan Arora the famous Kid's Theatre Director, Jazz Connoisseur & Producer, Writer & Director, little children will stage a thought-provoking performance that should challenge thoughts and norms.
Kalarathi Dance Troupe
Kalarathi dance troupe is a nationally acclaimed dance group with a reputation of staging astonishing and moving performances on social subjects. They will dwell on the subject of menstruation this time.
Pandit Bipin Kr. Mishra
The master of traditional Shloka Gayan will call upon the goddess. Experience the divine connection by combination of sound, breath and rhythm, that will channelize the flow of energy through the mind-body circuit.
Dr. Harish Arora
Dr. Harish Arora works as a senior assistant professor with PGDAV college, University of Delhi. He is known to be a great soul & a down to earth poet who believes in contribution to the society.
Maya Khandelwal
Maya Khandelwal is a poet and author par excellence. After 'A Beautiful Mistake' and 'Just Zindagi', her latest book 'Fireflies' is a teenopedia and complete guide to parenting in the present day scenario.
Vineet Chauhan
‘Vineet Chauhan is a synonym of fire and aggression. He speaks in favour of nation. Vineet’s performance is a motivation for those who think that our society is going to be spoiled. He is much awarded Poet.
Madhumita B. Nayyar
Dr. Madhumita Bhattacharjee Nayyar is a bilingual writer. She is a poetess, blogger, life skills counselor and healer. She is also a social commentator and works with the not so privileged people.
Sunita Singh
Sunita Singh is a bi-lingual poet and writer, writing in English and Hindi. Her poems feature in Indian and International Anthologies and e-magazines. Many of her poems have won awards on reputed forums.
Chetna Artist
Chetna Artist is a painter, sculptor par excellence. Born in a family of artists, she has dedicated her life to various forms of visual arts. The receiver of many honors and awards, this simple girl mesmerizes with her talent.
Dr. Kirti Kale
Dr. Kirti Kale is the one of the most prolific poetess. She has been performing on the world stage for over 22 years now. She has received many awards including Mahiyasi Mahadevi Samman.
Sangeeta Gupta
Sangeeta Gupta, all with abundance and freedom, is a jack of all trades. This iron lady is always up for action and arts. A highly acclaimed artist, she served as a top bureaucrat as an IRS Officer.
Dr. Praveen Shukla
Dr. Praven shukla is the most acclaimed name among the poet of verbal tradition. He is famous for his versatility and magnificent performance. He has received applause across the world.

Talented students of Khaitan Public School and Amity School Noida will presents acts to display their understanding of women issues. ShowSha Baaz Caravan VOW by Karan Arora will also stage a short play.

Fireflies is the latest creation of Maya Khandelwal. Its a teenopedia and guide to parenting in present day scenario. Maya will be available to sign a few copies. Also partcipate in the launch of Pink Talk - the new talk show with women theme.

Dr. Praveen Shukla, Kirti Kale, Dr. Harish arora and Vineet Chauhan, all eminent poets of national repute, will sew together verses reflecting strength as well as plight of the girls and women.

PLAY BY ASMITA GROUP
Asmita Theatre will stage two of its popular street plays - Dastak and Mard directed by Arvind Gaur. Dastak is based on attrocities against women while Mard depicts conservative & false notions of 'Masculinity' prevalent in Indian society.

SAMVEDNA- KATHAK BY SHOVANA
Shovana pays obeisance to the Devi - ya Devi sarva bhooteshu - and to Yashodhara, wife of Gautam Buddha, whose actions speak of unparalleled spirit of sacrifice.

LAUNCH OF PINK KNIGHTS
51 motorsports enthusiasts will drive into the arena riding their premium motorcycles and take the pledge of the Pink Knights. Pink Knights will be launched during the event. It will be a group of men rising to support and protect the dignity of women.
