About the Job

The Director - Projects is a pivotal leadership position responsible for ensuring the successful, compliant, and high-impact execution of all major social change projects funded by Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partners. This role demands a unique blend of mission focus, stringent accountability, and elite stakeholder management skills. The Director will manage partner relationships at the highest level while leading a team of Project Managers to translate strategic funding into tangible community impact.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partner Stewardship: Serve as the primary relationship owner for CSR funding partners, proactively managing their expectations and ensuring maximum transparency and alignment with their social impact goals.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure highest-level compliance with all relevant CSR laws, regulations (e.g., Company Act, 2013), and internal governance standards for every project.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers to ensure mission-driven project execution and verifiable results.
  • Translate funding into measurable community benefit, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Maintain a demanding yet flexible work schedule that supports project needs.

Who Can Apply

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 5–10 years in a senior program/project management role with direct team supervision.
  • Sector Knowledge: Deep understanding of the social impact landscape in India, including the nuances of working with NGOs and corporate CSR partners.
  • Exceptional Communication: Proven ability to communicate complex project statuses and financial data clearly, confidently, and persuasively to senior-level stakeholders.
  • People-Dealing Skills: A demonstrated track record of building and maintaining high-trust relationships with external funders and managing internal teams effectively.
  • Commitment to Accountability: Crossover experience or demonstrated excellence in roles requiring high regulatory compliance (e.g., Auditing, Finance, Governance) is a significant plus.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to maintain a flexible, yet demanding, schedule, suitable for managing remote teams and high-stakes deliverables.
