AMENORRHEA : Absent menstrual periods for more than 3 monthly menstrual cycles. BIOLOGICAL CLOCK : A woman's need to have children before she reaches a certain age & can no longer physically do so. CRAMPS : Pain that a woman gets during her periods. DYSMENORRHEA : Difficult menstrual flow or painful menstruation or abdominal cramps. HYPERMENORRHEA OR MENORRAGIA : Menstrual periods with abnormally heavy or prolonged bleeding. HYPERMENORRHEA : Short or scanty periods, extremely light menstrual blood flow. MENARCHE : The time in a girl's life when menstruation first begins. MENOPAUSE : The time in a woman's life when her periods stop and she is no longer capable of getting pregnant. MENTRUATION / PERIOD : In a woman, the process of discharging blood & other material from the lining of the uterus at intervals of about one lunar month from puberty until the menopause, except during pregnancy. OLIGOMENORRHEA : Condition in which you have infrequent menstrual periods. OVULATE : When a female ovulates, she produces an egg in her body and can become pregnant. POLYMENORRHEA : Menstrual cycle that is shorter than 21 days. A normal menstrual cycle is between 24 and 28 days long. POSTMENOPAUSAL : Relating to the time of a woman's life after the menopause. PREMENSTRUAL SYNDROME : The pain and unpleasant feelings or mood swings some women have just before their period every month.
