The pinkishe foundation invites enthusiastic people for the short film-making competition. Submit a 4 to 6 minutes short that shows us your artistic vision as a filmmaker and a unique voice in spreading the word about menstrual hygiene.

COVID Guidelines

The themes and genres of this filmmaking are not crowd-friendly, although make sure you can shoot with the minimal crew at safe places. Your safety while participating is important and foremost.

With governments allowing shootings and shoots resuming across the country now, we have compiled a checklist that'd make it easy.

  • Work with necessary people only if required to shoot in crowded places.

  • Allocate remote work in processes such as scripting, pre-production, grading, dubbing, etc.

  • Apps Zoom, Google Meet are going to be your new team meetings!

  • Do not shoot in crowded places and public transport.

  • Maintain social distance and basic hygiene guidelines.

Rules and Guidelines

Please read and carefully consider the following details and guidelines for the Film Competition 2021 before submitting your short film. All entrants must adhere to the following guidelines: The competition theme for 2021 is ‘MENSTRUAL HYGIENE’. All submitted entries must establish a link to this theme. Entrants may create a piece of fiction, a documentary, a community-service announcement, or a music clip (be sure to adhere to copyright rules!).

  • All films must be made specifically for the Pinkishe Short Film Competition 2021.
  • Entry is free and is open to all secondary and university students, working professionals in India.
  • Each film must be 4 to 7 minutes long. Opening and/or closing credits are not required, but (if added) may add up to an additional 20 seconds in total.
  • Films may be in any language or have no dialogue at all. Non-English audio (and important on-screen text) must have English subtitles.
  • Ensure that all content in your film (including footage, music, images, props, etc.) is your own. If you include any copyrighted or trademarked content, you must be able to provide written permission for its use. Entries containing any unauthorized content will be disqualified.
  • All entries must be submitted online (including uploading of the short film) by close of entries.
  • The entry form will be on Pinkishe’s website .
  • The film must not show any scene or present any dialogue in its story which may hurt the sentiments of any race or religion or which may be controversial.
  • A confirmation message will be sent to the given email id after submitting the form. If you don’t get an email, contact.
  • The finals will be in offline mode in Delhi.
  • A poster of the film should also be given with the film.
  • The participants should abide by the decision of the judges without any objection. If someone would raise any objection, his/her entry would be eliminated from the festival.

  • The participants are supposed to send the proof of the payment of entry fees deposited into the above Bank account by sending its Screenshot Image / Photocopy to the Institute through e-mail or courier.

1. What is the eligibility criteria? 2. What should be the duration of the film? Ans : The duration of the film should be 5-7 minutes (including intro and credits). 3. I don’t have a proper filmmaking setup. Can I shoot the video on the phone? Ans : Yes you can shoot the film on phone. 4. Are visual effects allowed? Ans : Yes you can use visual effects to make your film more appealing. 5. The film should be based on which topic? Ans : Menstrual hygiene and women empowerment (You have to choose on topic). 6. Are there any registration fees? Ans : Yes 7. Can we make animated films? Ans : No, animated films are not allowed 8. What will be the evaluation criteria? 9.Can we use photos in our film? Ans : You can use stock photos or your original photos (In case of stock photos kindly ensure the owner rights of the photo). 10. How will I know that judging is based on a transparent process? 11. What should be the shooting quality, format, sound, and aspect ratio? 12. What language should we use while making the film? Ans : Hindi or English. 13. Does Pinkishe Foundation will provide any help for my film? 14. Who all will be watching my film? Ans : The film will be posted on various channels including youtube so will have audiences from all age groups. 15. Do we need to have any production/filmmaking crew? Ans : No, if you can manage alone you are more than welcome. 16. Do we need to add subtitles? Ans : Yes it is mandatory. 17. By what time results will be out? Ans : Dates will be decided soon 18.
